Sewer
Sewer lines are normally found in the center of road ways where pipe is installed between manholes. Services or lines of pipe going to homes come out of the sewer pipe lines from the street to the house all under ground.
Sewer lines are typically made of PVC and are green to differentiate between sewer and other services. Sewer is normally installed first since it is placed so deep so that waste can not leak into other lines.
Storm Drain
Storm drain is used to divert rain water away from homes and road ways into ponds, rivers, lakes, or open land. The goal is to not cause traffic problems for drivers and so that homes and buildings are not flooded when it is wet outside.
The most common material used for drainage is reinforced concrete pipe or "RCP" and concrete boxes known as catch basins.
Water
Water pipe is typically installed on the side of the road near the sidewalk. Services for water lines are ran under the street or sidewalks to meter boxes. Meter boxes are a stopping point for water to a house or business that can be shut off for repairs.
Water lines are typically made of PVC and are the most shallow lines that we install. Water installation consist of fire hydrants, backflow preventers, blowoff assemblies, and more.
